So I had to put my cat, Darwin, down today. He was getting frequent bladder infections and the vet had said the last time that we put him on antibiotics that it was the last try. If he got one again that we'd have to put him down. I thought he was doing really well yesterday, he was playing and happy. Today though he was in the litter pan about 5 times in a row. I thought maybe he had a blockage in his urinary tract because he didn't seem to be able to go. Mom called the vet and they said to bring him over. They said he didn't have a blockage but definitely another infection so we had to put him down. It happened so fast, I noticed the litter pan thing, Mom called the vet and he went in to the vet and was gone. I held him and hugged him before he went and gave him some bacon and catnip. He didn't seem sick at all, but I couldn't keep putting him on antibiotics. Bladder infections are painful and the pills made him sick and miserable. I am really really going to miss him. He was a good cat.
