Shadow of the Giant by Orson Scott Card
Ok so the last time I went for my enzyme infusion (a week ago Wednesday) my blood pressure went up and up, So they figured it was probably the antidepressants I was on and so they cut them back in half. That really sucked because I was finally starting to notice a difference in mood. When I went to my shrink on Tuesday she said we'd have to try a different one. There was one that she wanted to try me on but it wasn't covered by social services so I'm trying out Celexa. I just started it and still am weaning off the Effexor so we shall see how it works out. I'm not nauseous anymore at least. My blood pressure finally read out at normal yesterday too, so that's all good.

I started playing Morrowind, partially because almost everyone is now playing Oblivion. My sister had borrowed the game from her ex so it was a much more affordable option... Plus it's a good game. I think I'm slightly addicted to it now. It's also similar enough to Oblivion that I feel like I know what's going on when people (Walter and Marcin) go on about it. I have cheated already. I downloaded a house and stuck it in. I haven't even really used it that much, except as a place to rest. It gives me a home base though, which just makes me feel more comfortable. I'm playing a knight. Most of the quests I have currently seem kind of undoable until I level up some more. I joined the mages guild yesterday so I'd have some more quests to do that I could do. Vampires freak me out. My basic reaction has been, "Eek, FUCK, run run run!!".

I joined zip.ca (the Canadian version of netflix) so I'd have some movies to watch. I started out with 2 DVDs at a time and that clearly wasn't enough so I went up to 4. I have a huge list of movies to see and it keeps growing. I don't get out much so it's really good to have the movies delivered to me. It's also very nice to keep a list of movies I want to see. Usually when I get to the video store I have no idea what I want to watch. If anyone has any suggestions on what I should see, feel free to leave a comment or whatever. I'm trying to get into horror movies as I used to be way too much of a chicken to watch them. So far I've seen a couple cheesy ones and a humorous one... a couple of bad ones.

Sheesh. Ok I own 28 Days Later. Good movie. The new doctor who isn't a movie recommend Walter. :-p

He's not very quick.

Frighteners was fun. Ravenous is good. Prophecy 1 and 2 and Warlock 1 and 2 were ok. Zombiewise, 28 Days Later is best. You don't need to watch anything else in that department after that one

In fact, that other one, what was it...Day of the....? It was just like watching a poor ripoff. Oh well.

Frighteners and Ravenous are both awesome movies. I might put them on my list to re-watch them. Seen Prophecy 1 the others are my list. I'll have to check out Warlock.

Dr Who is out on DVD thus fitting in the list of "movies" that can be ordered via your DVD service...I ain't THAT slow.
Dain - April 15, 2006, 1:25 pm
Ok but it's not a horror, hehe.

Ok I did a search on Dr. Who on Zip.ca and there was a TON of choices. Which one(s) should I watch?

It's very good. You get a real sense of what it is like to be on an Arctic expedition (horrible, terribly horrible). The bits with the creature are pretty cool.
walter - 10.09.07
Hey, how is that Simmons book- I have it on my list to buy...
